Safety in Action

All required certifications needed for proper equipment operation are obtained prior to personnel using them. Daily equipment preventative maintenance checks are performed as well. Proper safety harness gear, retractable lanyards and personnel protective equipment are worn by field personnel per safety guidelines. Fall Protection Training, CPR First Aid Certification and more are provided by TAB to our employees.

From daily "Tool Box Talks", weekly risk assessments via iPads, equipment certification and unannounced site visits by our own Quality Control personnel, TAB takes Safety Training seriously.

  • Daily job-site hazard analysis and safety training forms filled out via Company issued Apple iPads utilizing proprietary software developed in-house using FileMaker Go.
  • Field Crews receive CPR First Aid Training which is conducted annually
  • Company provides paid training and certification for all job-site equipment. Employees who have yet to receive certification are not allowed to operate equipment. Our centralized database alerts Operations when an employee is scheduled for a position requiring certification.

TAB takes pride in providing all the equipment our crews need in order to ensure the highest installation standard and safety.

  • Company issued Safety Harnesses, Retractable Lanyards, Hard Hats, Glass Handling Gloves, Uniforms, Scratch-Proof Belt, Hearing and Eye Protection.
  • OSHA approved engineered glass racks for Aerial Boom Lifts and Rough-Terrain Fork-Lifts.
  • Woods Powercup Glass Handling Systems.

We listen to our crews. Anyone who voices concern is thanked, not scorned. Defective equipment is immediately pulled and replaced. Our central database reminds us when to conduct preventative maintenance checks. We do everything possible to reduce the chances of accidents occurring.

  • TAB has never received an OSHA warning, citiation or fine.

Carl D. Miller

Owner

Carl Miller has worked as a glazing subcontractor since 2005, mostly in the Tampa Bay area. Licensed as a GC in two states now (after 30 years in his own companies in three states), he guides the direction and ensures the implementation of the business plan.

Kristin Thomas

President

After completion of a BS in Business Administration, Kristin quickly jumped deeply into Tab Glass' infrastructure. Now as the VP of Operations, Kristin handles HR, purchasing, and provides oversight to all departments and scheduling of internal resources: Employees, Materials, and a fleet of over 20 vehicles.

John Koskosky

Senior Estimator, Project Manager

Over 37 years in Glass & Glazing experience specializing in metal systems including curtainwall, storefront, and aluminum windows.

Bryan Phifer

Senior Project Manager / Estimator

Dynamic and best in class communicator, Bryan Phifer has been in the glazing industry for over 12 years. Prior to that went through schooling for engineering and worked for 7+ years in the construction industry.

Marc Singh

Project Manager II

One of our man evolutionary stories of learning the trade from within, Marc has been with us in various roles for 12+ years. Currently Marc serves our clients as an experienced project manager overseeing anything from a hospital retrofit job with strict AHCA inspections, managing all in-house CNC programming and shop drawings, and works hand-in-hand with the team on ordering material, daily field scheduling, and many other parts of his busy role.

Mike Cope

Service Division

Starting his glazing career in Kentucky at a young age, Mike moved out west to Colorado where he worked as a union glazier and went on to own his own glass company. Over 5 years ago Mike moved to FL and joined our team. He handles estimating and client relations for our commercial service division.

In the glass industry for almost two decades Dee has learned through experiences at multiple commercial companies the importance of keeping operations moving quickly and smoothly. Dee’s organizational sense helps her in material purchases, bid opportunities, accounts payable, oversight of service work, and many other areas of our internal operations.

Mark Avery

Finance Manager

Starting at Pinellas Glass Products in the 80’s Mark has been the finance manager for our organization before the current address, name, and ownership. He’s a beloved and dedicated member of our team.

Matt Singh

General Superintendent

Helper to Installer, Installer to Foreman, Foreman to service technician, and on to Superintendent. Matt’s story matches that of many life-long glaziers. Matt has physically worked on and overseen many types of retail, residential, and commercial projects in Florida.

Alex Hansen

Fabrication Shop Manager

Growing up inside a family-owned glass company in Naples, FL gave Alex a strong foundation for the successful path he’s on. He has seen as many jobsites as glaziers 20 years his senior. His undeniable hard work ethic has him currently overseeing Tab’s fabrication shop.
